Illuminaughty took over Manchester Academy on November 1st 2014 for a huge Sin City themed halloween dance music event.

I focussed my coverage on the IllumiNasty room downstairs which featured the ‘Electro / Breaks / Bass’ music of the event. I also covered the outside tent which was hosted by the legendary Iration Steppas Soundsystem of Leeds Sub Dub fame (a personal favourite!). I think the Iration Steppas got asked to turn the music down at about 3am or something and they replied something along the lines of “you don’t turn down a soundsystem!” and closed early… not sure if this is exactly what happened but it’s a shame they had to shut it down so early… the crowd were loving it. I’m glad I captured some of the action :)

I’ve tried to capture the event as the crowd would have remembered it… blury high contrast and dreamy shots.
